Five generations have managed the Osteria della Fontana:
certainly from 1860, but probably also from previous years.
Until 1948 the restaurant was part of the old family of the "Casaeta" and was located on the ground floor connected by a staircase inside the house.
After one hundred years of management of the Domenichini family, the business has been taken over, and the management has passed instead to the Iori family since 2018.
Our Bottega is rich in history and for us it is essential to maintain tradition; in fact you can find a counter full of typical products of the Reggiano Apennines, in particular of the Val Tassobbio, drink a good wine and relax on our outdoor terrace enjoying our dishes cooked by Artico and Chiara according to tradition.
In addition to this, you can also organize excursions in the fantastic CAI trails that surround the area, savoring the flora and fauna of the Reggiano Apennines.

TYPICAL PRODUCTS OF THE MOUNTAIN
Our brasserie offers dishes according to Reggio Emilia's tradition, like tortelli, cappelletti, gnocco fritto and Erbazzone, but also excellent cold cuts and cheeses of the territory, in particular the amazing Parmigiano Reggiano of Latteria San Giorgio.
If you want to treat yourself to a good aperitivo you can choose to accompany it with our typical cutting board of the Val Tassobbio, so you can taste the typical products of our territory.

WELCOME IN REGGIO EMILIA APENNINES!
The Val Tassobbio-APS is an association of social promotion that, with the intention of acting in favor of the whole community, aims to organize and carry out hiking, tourist and sports activities aimed at making known and promoting the territory of Val Tassobbio and its naturalistic, historical, cultural and gastronomic heritage, collaborate with public and private bodies to protect the landscape, historical and cultural heritage of the Val Tassobbio and its villages and to provide for the maintenance and improvement of the trail network of the valley, organize and implement social, cultural and recreational initiatives aimed at consolidating the civic sense and living in community with the involvement of the most lonely and marginalized people and with methods that also allow the maximum participation of the elderly (lunches and dinners, games tournaments, etc), collaborate with public and private bodies for the protection and assistance of elderly and lonely people and more generally for the enhancement of the territory in which they live.
TASTING TRAILS BY E-BIKE
The E-bike Cortogno project was born thanks to funding from the GAL, which gave us the opportunity to invest in the purchase of fifteen e-bikes and to promote our territory.
In our rental point you can start discovering our beloved Reggiano Apennines, in particular the Val Tassobbio, among woods, castles and good food.
E-bike Cortogno is born right in front of our Bar with Bottega Storica, where you can order a takeaway menu to enjoy in the middle of nature, or book a table after your tour with a 10% discount on lunch.
